ABACOS TOUR (Sample)

Boasting as one of the world’s top sailing destinations, this former British colony has an abundance of turquoise water and powder white sand beaches.  Tucked away in the Northern Bahamas, you will enjoy a tranquil experience away from the hustle.  Old colonial architecture will charm you, as will the extraordinarily friendly people.

Marsh Harbour (Day 1)

Home to the third largest population in the Bahamas.  It is serviced by an International Airport with many flights available.  You may want to visit the Abaco National Park with blue holes and maybe sneak a peek of the Abaco Parrot.  You will find this a convenient launching point for your Abacos adventure.

Sandy Cay and Hope Town (Day 2)

Crystal clear water, rock formations and loads of fish make Sandy Cay one of the best snorkeling and diving spots in the Abacos.  Also easy to access even if conditions are a little windy.  

Hope Town was settled in 1785 by British Loyalists fleeing the Americas, the unique architecture of this picturesque sea and landscape will draw you back into a bygone era.  Take in all the beauty atop the Elbow Reef Lighthouse.

Man-O-War Cay (Day 3)

Named after a long boat building tradition, to this day you can visit the Man-O-War Heritage Museum located in a small wooden home dating back to the 1800’s.  Many artifacts and records are on display.  There is also beautiful snorkeling and diving on the ocean side of this cay if conditions are good.

Great Guana Cay (Day 4)

Everything you imagine the Bahamas to be, beautiful sunsets, spectacular beaches, world class sailing and a beach bar with grill.  This is a must stop on your exploration of the Abacos.

Green Turtle Cay (Day 5)

New Plymouth is the main settlement found here.  Tour the historical village from the 1700’s by the sea where you will find shops, restaurants, galleries and gift shops.  The outer reef has great diving and snorkeling, close proximity to Manjack Cay takes you into the world of stingrays and reef sharks.  No Name Cay is also nearby where you can hang out with the swimming pigs.

Spanish Cay (Day 6)

This area is one of your Captains favorites.  Sometimes you have the anchorage to yourself.  No crowds, just an abundance of pristine white sand beaches, turquoise water, shallow creeks and warm sun.  You’ll feel like you’re the first human to discover this paradise.

Treasure Cay (Day 7)

Blessed with one of the longest white sand beaches in the Abacos at three and a half miles, run till your heart's content.  There is also a resort, with a marina and golf course.  You can also enjoy being served drinks right on the beach.

EXUMAS TOUR (Sample

The Exuma Islands are often described as a string of pearls that span over a hundred miles of gin clear water.  Beautiful anchorages are abundant, as are beaches, diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking and restaurants.

This is a sample of activities available at our various stops, however you can pick and choose the activities you wish to participate in.  If you’re not a diver then you can paddle board, kayak, snorkel, or just enjoy a great book and cold drink on one of the deck loungers. We may alter the order of the below days to best suit the weather conditions.

New Providence Island (Day 1)

If weather permits, sail to the West side of New Providence Island and anchor in crystal clear Clifton bay.  For those who are feeling adventurous, enjoy a 60 foot dive with the local Grey Reef and Nurse sharks.  Perhaps some rays and big groupers may join us.

Allan's Cay Group (Day 2)

Explore the shores for a glimpse of the Bahamian Dragon, a critically endangered species of iguana.  Snorkel and dive off Highborne Cay.

Fowl Cay (Day 3)

Enjoy some land time at Harbour Club Restaurant where they serve good food and cocktails.  Snorkeling the Caves at Rocky Dondas in the afternoon might be your preference, or if you’d rather relax, then chill at Bell Island, where you will likely have the beach to yourself.

Staniel Cay (Day 4 and 5)

This is the nexus point in the Exumas and is worth spending a couple days.  Enjoy swapping stories over drinks with other cruisers at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club.  Snorkel with the gentle Nurse sharks.  Visit the famous swimming pigs and snorkel the beautiful Thunderball Grotto from James Bond.

Shroud Cay (Day 6)

An archipelago of small Cays that surround a shallow mangrove.  This park is a nursery for an abundance of wildlife including sea turtles, crawfish and lemon sharks.  The park can be snorkelled through, or drifted in the tender. 

Rose Island (Day 7)

Sail back up towards New Providence Island and anchor beside the Lost Blue Hole.  Dive into the depths and explore this 100 foot wide by 200 foot deep hole in the sea bed.  Enjoy a variety of life from lobster and turtles, to the local grey reef sharks.  If you prefer you are welcome to hang out on Moonfleet and enjoy the sun while we wait for our divers.  After the dive we’ll weigh anchor and head to Gorgeous Rose Island for a BBQ on the beach.
